Could someone please explain the difference between yellow cleats and red ones!

Am I correct in saying that the yellow ones are float and red are fixed???

They look exactly the same to me

Red are fixed, yellow are 6 degree float and blue are 2 degree float

I may try some red ones, I get right knee ligament pain (back of knee on right side) after 30+ miles

I get a 30 mile right knee niggle , I'm not sure a fixed cleat position would be any help as being able to move position moves the stresses around the knee . A fixed position would direct the stresses to one area ?
I'd be interested to know how you get on .

Cleat angle can play a part. If I align the cleat along the axis of my shoe then my knees complain after a few miles, so I set them slightly toe in and have no problems. Just experement to see what works.

If you have a dodgy knee you are better of with more float, it allows your knee to align naturally as you pedal rather than forcing it into a fixed plain.

I have never used cleats, but am looking to change my pedals. What ones would be best ??

Many Thanks

Anyone new to clipless pedals should go for ones with some float. SPD's are very good for this, if you go for SPD-SL get the yellow cleats.
