I get a 30 mile right knee niggle , I'm not sure a fixed cleat position would be any help as being able to move position moves the stresses around the knee . A fixed position would direct the stresses to one area ?
I'd be interested to know how you get on .
Cleat angle can play a part. If I align the cleat along the axis of my shoe then my knees complain after a few miles, so I set them slightly toe in and have no problems. Just experement to see what works.
If you have a dodgy knee you are better of with more float, it allows your knee to align naturally as you pedal rather than forcing it into a fixed plain.
