Recumbent + Tacx.

Is there any reason why a recumbent (in this case a Street Machine) cannot be used with a Tacx home trainer?

NO!

Do however block up the front wheel or the seat angle is a little step and you slide forward. Then remember the extra height when mounting / dismounting.
