Hi folks, my daughter is 11 and I want to take her out on the cycle tracks in these parts (Co. Durham), Am thinking of riding the Derwent Walk route and things like that, not road use.Can anyone recommend any bikes for girls that arent too heavy and are robust.
Cheers.

Islabikes - built specifically for childs smaller anatomy and very lightweight. Absolutely beautiful machines

Thanks for the replies folks. The bikes at Islabikes look tremendous but out of my budget, what a shame!!

Hi there FF, am trying to finish the history degree, had to take a year out and am wrestling with Japan and the 2nd WW plus a dissertation on the media and the miners strike. Its not going to be pretty but I will do it. Worried about the dissertation like.
Great to see you still about mate-gan canny.

My wife is 5' and 1/2" and rides a Dawes Discovery 201, the female specific frame fits her well and when we bought it I rode it home 12 miles, I'm 5'7", and was very pleasantly surprised at how well it goes. If your daughter is near this height you could do a lot worse than the DD201!
