Recommend some body armour

I'm looking into getting a top with some form of spinal protection for when I'm recovered, as I'm planning more off roading now, than road, and just want piece of mind I'll have a little protection.

Now what's best - would just a camel back type rucksack be OK or is there a decent light weight under vest with some spinal protection. What do you currently use ?

I don't wear any protection, or haven't in the past.

You can get camelbak type things with an integrated spinal protector... something like this:

might be worth looking at. I just use a camelbak with water bladded and some pointy tools and banana as my protection.
