Smash the cistern
I'm trying to sort out the deathtrap that is the garage so I'm going to need a worklamp of some sort for both the work on the garage itself, and then to use for lighting inside, working on bikes etc when it's done. Must be rechargable, reasonably weatherproof, and either bright enough to light a double garage or more likely cheap enough that I can afford two. Any ideas? Are the cheapo ones from Screwfix good enough?

The garage is not entirely weatherproof and will be torn down and replaced sooner or later so I'm not spending any time or effort putting in anything permanent.

Screwfix do a Diall rechargeable LED worklamp for around £30. We have one in our workshops and while it doesn't get used often...it does the job.
Whether it's good enough to light a double garage is another thing but at close quarters...it does the job perfectly well.

I see they also do a Luceco USB chargeable one for the same price, but I've no idea which would be better. As far as brightness goes, I could just get one and then add another if I need it I guess.

Got the cheap Diall one in the end. Annoyingly not that cheap, it's £24.99 in the March catalogue but has since gone up to £29.99. It seems good enough, I notice it's sold as a work lamp and not a site lamp so it's not massively sturdy and only splashproof. It's bright enough for evening work when there's still a bit of sunlight but I might get a second one come autumn.
