Rode the 104 mile Dartmoor Classic on Sunday, and my CO2 pump gave up the ghost after two punctures - the thread on the head of the pump cracked so it would no longer screw into the cartridge. Suffered another 4 punctures after that, but I'm fairly sure that the reason was because I couldn't put enough air into my tubes using my mini pump when I was knackered and as a result I was suffering with snakebites.

So, can anyone recommend a reliable CO2 pump to replace my old one with? Cheers!

seriously, don't bother with CO2 pumps - a decent mini-pump like the Lezyne Pressure Drive should get you up near 100psi easily enough - regardless of how tired your legs are....

Seriously, bother with a CO2 pump. Stuff all that faffing around pumping up a tyre.
ppffffffffffffft and you're done.

Who ever said that cycling saves money?

it certainly wasn't the guy who invented the CO2 pump, that's for sure...

I thought the question was 'recommend me a CO2 pump' not debate there use!

I carry a pump and a CO2 pump.
My CO2 pump is great (Genuine Innovations Air Chuck Elite) and makes life so easy.
The pump is there to initially inflate the tube so I can make sure the tyre is on correctly before I use up a cartridge and also for the possibility of getting more punctures than I carry cartridges.

My normal pump is a Topeak Race Rocket HPX and inflates to 120psi (just takes time and effort! :heat: )
The CO2 pump takes about a second!

That really is pretty pointless - do you not see that..??
