I have a Park Tool CT5 mini chain tool. It's compact enough to easily carry around but works as well as any other chain tool I've used. Not the cheapest available (about £15) but it's well built and will last.

I like the Topeak one i've had for years. It wasn't expensive but works very well.

The best Multi tool splitter is a crank bros multi 17/19. as good as a workshop toool ime

That's the one I use and I can't fault it. I used it just the other day on a 10 speed Campag chain and it was fine... despite there being suggestions that it can't be used for 10 speed.

Have you seen the price of the Campag 10 speed tool though? Sheesh....

The new 11 speed one is nearly double the price again B)

Maybe it was the 11sp I was thinking about. I just remember thinking that it was more than the cost of some bikes!
