for road (racing) bike, used for weekend training runs in the dry.

700c wheels, 23 or 31 with, ideally folding tyres, in blue, to be as light/cheap/puncture resistant as possible (ok, I know those are 3 mutullay exclusive requirements).

in particular, opinions on these: (on ebay £ 25 pair - unless you know cheaper)

I have found Vittoria Rubinos very good. 2000miles on a pair and NO punctures. They do a folding version.

There is only one thats virtually puncture free and thats Michelin Krylion carbon, its fairly light but not the cheapest. In this case you get what you pay for.

Michelin ProRace 3's. For weekend fun anything else is a compromise.

But I have found I only get about 1200 miles out of them before they end up cut to ribbons. Go like stink until then though

krylions are a great choice for a seemingly indestructible tyre with a little bit of zing to them.

Vittoria Open Corsa CX, light weight, very low rolling resistance, very high (genuine, unlike some who count all threads over several layers) thread count, good puncture resistance, grips like shoot to a balanket and lastly next to no wear showing on the tread in 2000miles.

In my eyes, for me these are the best tyres money can buy
