Recommend Any Hard Wearing Cycling Mitts?

I started cycling with week in week out regularity in December and it now looks like I may be someone who goes through a pair of mitts more than once a year. By the state of a pair I was given for Christmas. I've just been reading some online reviews but wondered if you guys had any personal experience of mitts that have lasted well. I was going to go down the cheap cos I will have to replace line of thinking but am now thinking about hard wearing. Any suggestions?

Loops or similar feature is a nice touch that I had on a pair (unfortunately lost) - this is missing from an Endura pair that one reviewer said has lasted him more than 2 years - it is a useful feature when people, like Prendas add it. Though in my hot and sweaty hands may be those wouldn't last. These Prendas ones look good - eg lots of mesh to help you keep cool and seem well put together - http://www.prendas.c....asp?imgID=4234

Avoid Endura. Both my mitts and winter gloves started falling apart within six months. Perhaps I was unlucky, but they both cost upwards of twenty five quid and I think one should expect a bit better at that price. There is a thread that discusses this glove issue. Specialised came highly recommended. Do a search on "Mitts" or "Gloves"

SPEG 'Gel-VENTi' Cycle Gloves

Got a pair, and are lasting me well throughout a tough summer of cycling. Actually managed to graze my knuckles THROUGH them last week. Gloves look un-damaged.

Here for rides.
I've got some retro looking ones from Altura with a crochet back and synthetic leather palm, so far so good. No loops though.

I've had three pairs, first ones unstiched between the fake leather and the black finger fabric. Replaced
Second pair the replacements the velcro unstitched. Replaced.
Third pair, well they were stiched together well by the fake leather palm wore through between thumb and forefinger. Binned.

Knog 8 balls these days. Not such a good back of the hand tan but good enough to identify you as a cyclist.!

I've had a pair of Specialized BG gloves for the past 3 years, still as good as when I got them.

I've been using mavic mitts for a few years now. None have worn out on me on the palm but I have many sets so it's not like I'm wearing them every day.
