My first recommendation:
Reservoir Dogs followed by Sexy Beast.
Both of these are about heists, but not so much about the heists themselves. They are both quite theatrical with dazzling dialogue, but not many backdrops.

My second recommendation:
All You Need Is Cash (The Rutles) followed by This is Spinal Tap.
They are both mockumentaries. The first is about the Beatles. The second is about an aging, British rock band from the 60s. Think The Stones, Led Zeppelin, Status Quo, Black Sabbath. Some group a bit like that. Both films are genius. They send their targets up something rotten. Nevertheless, the music is actually pretty good.

Being John Malkovich and Get Out

There was a theory, now accepted by both directors as being true, that Catherine Keelers character in GO is an older version of the same person she plays in BJM. When you look at the theme and plot of both (I won't say for spoilers) it's a convincing case that GO a continuation of events you see start in BJM.

Thunderball and Never Say Never Again

Not many actors get to play the same role, in an adaption of the same story, twice but Sean Connery got the chance. I wouldn't like to say which is better, but it's fun to watch them back to back to see what is done different.

The Blood on Satan's Claw
Dodgy doings in 18th Century, English mud. Devilry, nudity, good opening sequence, although poor ending.

Virgin copper gets himself turned into a burnt offering.
