I quite fancy another charity ride in 2009, but dont want to do the L2B again.

can anyone recommend one in suffolk for me?
I was looking at the suffolk sunrise, for action medical research... 100 miles, early kick off... looks like a nice route too...

any input guys?

Get out a map, do your own route and send whatever you can afford to your own chosen charity?

Mine goes here www.karuna.org

I've decided to do the Suffolk Sunrise (100 miles setting off from Woodbridge, May 10th) and also the Norwich 100 on June 7th.
Don't know the date of the Bury one... but if I can fit it in, I'll try to do that one too!

Also my bro has roped me in to accompany him on a 60 miler in August...

Edit: looks like the bury one is June 14th. not sure the wife would appreciate me dissapearing all day 2 sundays on the trot.

Are you a fast rider? I'll be going for an early 7am start in the Norwich 100, aiming for a 5 hour ride time. It would be good to have more CycleChat riders around.

I've never ridden in a fast group before, i'd be happy to give it a go... but would't want to hold you up. These groups, are they pre-planned or just whoever kind of sticks together at the right sort of pace?

I'll pay more attention to my speed (actually replaced my old cycle computer today so will be alright) and if it's close on, i'll let you know.

If not, I'll probably see you there anyway as I'm planning on a 7am start too, and will be wearing the CC kit the missus has bought me for xmas (so long as she ordered the right size!).

Edit: Just FYI, I do a 10mile TT in a shade over 27mins... don't know how that would translate across to a 100mile group ride though.

there always used to be a London to Cambridge ride.
did that a couple of times as a nipper.

OK, so it's not Suffolk, but at least its heading in the right direction!
