I've got some Fulcrum Racing Zero wheels, which aren't carbon but need the same blue soft compound pads, being alloy with aluminium oxide coated braking surfaces.
If these wheels last a good few years and don't wear through, they will be worth the money. I don't plan to ride them in wet weather. I understand why they need a softer brake pad and I understand that the pad wears in preference to the rim, which I hope will save me money in the long term. Obviously the cost of the pads is critical in ensuring the equation works. So who buys these pads regularly and where's the best place to buy them?
