All AA rechargeable batteries I have used (for cameras, flash guns, lights, etc, etc) hold 1.5v+. Well thats what my tester tells me anyway. At 1.2V they are pretty much useless.

Has anyone come across these batteries or tried them? I'd rather use rechargeable batteries and mostly do but I do notice the difference in some cycle lights being a lot dimmer on the normal 1.2v rechargeables rather than the throw away 1.5v types.

Prices seem the same once you've got the special RAM charger.

Any good?

Don't use rechargeable NiMHs in fronts, only in rears. In rears there are no issues at all with the latest generation charge holding NiMHs. When I used to put them in front lights they were dimmer but that was a long time ago with older generation ones. None really fit in the chamber in anycase.

If those batteries have a thin diameter for rechargeables then they sound pretty good.

Dunno - I use Panasonic Infiniums (Hybrids) in my Hope Vision 1's...and they are very bright...ahem........

New technology deals with the 1.2v vs 1.5v batteries, and the non-rechargeables will be dead very quickly......

I bought these some years ago from Maplins, and they were rubbish. They can't handle high drain uses like front lights. I took them back and got a refund. Stick to NiMH rechargeables.

All my lights have hybrio batteries from uniross. 4 AA or AAA batteries from ebay cost from £6 and they hold their charge for ages when not in use. i wouldn't use anything else.
