Recently watched films.

Saw a couple of movies recently which were brilliant;

The Lives Of Others. Which went straight in to my list of favourite films of all time.

Perfume. Quite brilliant.


Have you seen a film recently that you would recommend?

WCMnr got me the Mamma Mia DVD for Christmas. It is quite brilliant escapist, unrealistic tat and a work of genius.

Wall-e made me smile for days

Father of the Bride - watched but not paid attention to: adding that to the list of the films I watch but not paid attention to list.

Took my son to watch Inkheart at the cinema. Well worth it for the kids although younger ones might get a bit scared by one of the beasties.

For the adults - Be Kind Rewind. Bought the DVD on a bit of a whim. Really good film - Jack Black at his best.

Wall-e made me smile for days

Wall-E is a top film. Yes it sentimental but then so am I to a degree - actually no I am really sentimental.

The first half of Wall-E is one of the best pieces of animation ever. The second half rather lets it down. They could have done without the fat people altogether IMHO.

Mickle - I like The Lives of Others a lot. Can't really see what you like about Perfume though. ALso a German director, isn't it? German cinema is really on the up right now. I enjoyed The Baader-Meinhof Complex recently too...
