Hi, I need a pair of everyday tubular tyres in 25c so main point I am looking for is puncture protection, second is a subtle ride. I usually use pro4 clintchers and haven't found a better all rounder yet but those tubs are pricey!

If the wheels come with CXs, then use the CXs. 23 v 25 is barely noticable. For everyday use, I wouldn't be using more than Conti Giros.

Just ride on those until they are farked . Changing a tub takes time and patience .

No reason why not. Training tubs like the Conti Giro or Vittoria Rally are generally cheaper than some of the cheap clinchers...

They seem more practical when you look into it, you can ride on a flat within reason and they are quite quick to change to get you home, I'll always carry a spare anyway

I ride them on my steel bike up and down some canal paths that are more like farm tracks without any issues. If you are using them on the road then they are good as my mate uses them for everyday use. Carry a can or pre fill them with pit stop and off you go.
