Helo , how are you ? My 2nd question today .

Using a Shimano Sora 9spd Double .
I turn the bike over and noticed that when I turn the crank , the rear cassette spin but not turning entirely round . Its not moving , sorry for the wobble on topic . Just not turning straight .
Both front and rear wheel turns true and not noticing any problem when cycling .

Is it normal ? Or my wheels are out of alignment ?
Bike is a used so could be of that .

Thanks !!!

Doesn't sound healthy. Could you take the chain and cassette off and investigate further, or would this be a trip to the LBS?

Now then Black Bird this may be a very silly question but which way did you turn the pedals when the bike was upside down? Because if you turned them forwards then the cassette would freewheel on the hub just as you have descibed. Sorry if I am teaching your grandmother to suck eggs as the saying goes but I'm only trying to help.

If the wheel is running true, has the cassette become loose, the lock nut may of loosened? If you have the wherewithall to take the cassette off and check it, do so, or it will be a trip to the bike shop.

As Paulus says, if you have the tools strip it clean everything and reassemble and tighten fully. You can have a look at the skewer at the same time.
