Just wondered if all Shimano rear cassettes come apart? When I remove the cassette, apart from the first 3 smaller rings, the rest of the cassette is one unit. I've tried to prise them apart without any luck. Running Shimano 105.

Depends on the cassette. Some are held together with three thin screws, usually a small allen key required. Some of the higher end/lighter ones are made by riveting the individual sprockets to an alloy carrier. These will not split.

What are you trying to achieve?

Tried the dishwasher trick but came home to find the dishwasher in the middle of the kitchen with a blocked filter. The wife still doesn't know it was me!

It was only house keeping. Just wanted to give it a good clean but not a huge issue. I can still give it a good going over. Thanks
The allen bolts mentioned above are counter sunk into the rear face of the largest sprocket. I've also had a cassette, possibly SRAM, that had three teeny bolts, requiring a v small spanner (or indeed a pair of pliers).

I have just codged 2 cassettes together in the last few weeks, both Shimano, 1 8spd and 1 9spd and the screws/bolts were different sizes and went in different directions.
