Hi All

Having enormous fun this afternoon changing my brake pads. The front change went perfectly well but having problems with the rear. The brakes pull on but then won't release again.
Hubby had the entire mech off and has squirted it with stuff and now it moves quite freely - it was just a little stiffer than the front one.
It looks as if one side is 'sticking' although its moving freely off the bike. Its a Giant Defy 2 with bog standard Sora brakes. Has anyone any advice at all?

Have they got a little tension screw on the side, if so try screwing that in or out and see if that does the trick. Just remember where it was before i.e. count the turns each way

Hi
Thanks, we have done that. Both ways but to no avail. I am wondering if I might have to pop to my LBS and ask them to give it a poke with their magic-mechanical hands in the morning.
