Re- conditioned bikes

Hi, I have a work colleague, who is looking for a decent road bike, and has a budget of around £300, he lives in Coventry but can also travel to Birmingham and surrounding areas, i suggested a re -conditioned bike, just wondered if anyone knows of anywhere in this area that deals in re - cons

Mike Vaughan Cycles in Kenilworth has recon' second-handers. There is sometimes a bargain - like a 1 year old 7.5kg Spesh SWorks with full Ultegra, FSA and Xlite hoops for £900. Which is now in my spare room.

They have Trek bikes which are from part-exchange deals
