People don't just sit and think to themselves any more. You are now considered weird if you're not being stimulated by some external source, whether that be music, a video, podcast, a game, or book. I guess meditation is now extreme raw dogging! (I don't mediate, I've tried it and I just fall asleep)

Maybe but sitting for 10 hours straight on a plane without any stimulation is even weirder. And the purists don't have food, standing up, loo trips too. That is starting to be bad for you.

What a perverse world we now live in, where sitting still without stimulae is considered both newsworthy and peculiar. I pretty much did that on the way back from Australia years ago and thought nothing of it. I didn't do it intentionally, I just didn't have any headphones or anything to read. Nor did I need the toilet because I used to be very bad at keeping hydrated

im glad someone got my train of thought , although they are mostly harmless .......
