Rapidfire 3 to 2 speed

Hi,

I have Shimano Tiagra SL-4700 2x10 speed setup with Rapidfire flat bar levers.

Now, the front shift lever has 3 positions, although there're only 2 speeds in the front. For proper shifting, the lever requires 2 clicks both ways (from high to low and vice versa). Not an optimal situation.

I checked, the lever doesn't have a switch between 2 and 3 speed more.

What's the best course of action to fix it, so that the lever would require only 1 click both ways?

The third click allows trimming, if you need it. Suck up the extra click when you change to your large chainring: is life that short?
