Hi

Iv just been given an old bike and I don’t know to much about it.
It’s a Raleigh but I can’t work out the year.
Any help would be appreciated

It's a Raleigh Team Panasonic replica from the early to mid eighties. Not the original used for racing but a facsimile for the masses. This would be marketed to appeal to would be racers, mainly teenagers. It's built with Raleigh's 18-23 steel tubing instead of the lighter Reynolds 531 used in the original to keep the price down and fitted with budget parts.
Will make up into a very nice bike once cleaned up and restored. Looks in good condition.

Any help you need with the resto please ask.

I think someone refinished a Raleigh Twenty like that once, and it was very nice.

Not sure it's a Team replica which was 531c but perhaps a Cadet ?

I think the twenty you saw was the team Banana.
