This was part of a "3 for £50" Marketplace purchase, which I bought solely for the Orbit tourer which has featured elsewhere on the forum.
I was going to chuck it straight in a skip, but I couldn't quite bring myself to do that. Then I cleaned up some of the chrome, and before I knew it I'd stripped the whole thing down. The project stumbled to a halt against a very stuck cotterpin but is now back on the go, just to get it built and out of my way. I don't know what to do with it once it's finished - it's a bit too small for me - so I'll probably donate it to my local bike charity.

I know this is ridiculous, but I'm rebuilding the wheels with new bearings.

There's always a local charity that might help you dispose of it or freecycle.org. Definitely worth doing up, looks better than the rubbish kids get given today.
5 Yr old Grandson's bike weighs nearly as much as my comutte road bike.

It just seemed a shame for it to survive this long only to be thrown out! It's actually looking pretty good following a bit of elbow grease.
