Was in Castleford on Tuesday afternoon with daughter.
Whilst showing her the new footbridge, 2 old guys walked across pushing bikes (CTC types, & I hope that's seen as sterotyping/derogatory?)
One had a Elswick-Hopper in brown, with gold detailing/name
The other was titular Silver Jubilee
I've not seen one of those for years,& remember them in the Wakefield Halfords (then on Kirkgate)
That said, a friend (same age as me) had one bought for a birthday/christmas pressie, & even now 35 years on, he tells me it resides in his mothers loft; greased up & dust-sheeted.
I'll have to persuade him to unearth it next time I see him
