I am just taking up road cycling and I could do with some advice if thats OK. The bike I intend to buy will be for a couple of sportives but mainly for weekend rides with the local cycling club.

I have narrowed it down to two bikes which I like the look off and seem decent. They are the Cube Peloton Pro and the Raleigh Revenio 3. It was the Cube all the way until I noticed one of the online shops selling the Revenio 3 at roughly the same price as the Cube which changed my mind, purely on the spec. What are your thoughts on these, particularly the Revenio as I can't seem to find many reviews of it.

Any advice on these would be great?

Don't know if you looked at Chain Reaction but the RR3 is only £570 on there at moment, plus take off another 10% if you are a BC member.

Indeed might as well join BC, get the discount and the other more crucial (imo) benefits of legal and 3rd party indemnity cover

Ref the bike, go test ride and see which floats your boat more. Neither will be bad but one will be more right

When I first looked at this I thought I had the Cube Peleton Pro but I was having a senior moment and it's the Cube Peleton Race I have which is a higher spec. I love the Cube and they are really good bikes and great spec for the money. Saying that having looked at the spec on the Raliegh it looks fantastic spec for that money, not much different to my Race, I would be leaning that way if it were me. Test riding both would be the best bet.

Will certainly look more into the BC membership though at a quick glance, there are no BC events in N Ireland but must check out if the indemnity insurance etc is relevant in this lil corner of the UK.

I have a Cube Agree SL and love it, so when I saw this thread I thought my Cube bias would give it to the Cube. But The Raleigh looks pretty dam good spec for the money and wins hands down on looks.

I have the Raleigh Revenio full carbon 105 and love it!!
Rode the alloy version at the end of last year and loved it too, although funds haven't let me buy one yet (and too many bikes in the garage already).
Never ride any cube bike yet though...
