Raleigh mixte...water bottle?

Hi, I was wondering if I could use your wise heads and experience.. I want to fit a water bottle cage to my lugless Raleigh wisp. The bike shop I asked only had, as they correctly described it, a large ugly plastic thing which probably wouldn't fit anyway under the crossbar. Have any of you fitted one and what did you use?

you should be able to get one that either fits on handlebars if you cant fit one to frame , might even have an old cage that clamps to frame in the garage , will try and have a look 2moro pm and advise

Topeak make a cage mount adapter for handlebars. Which doesn't look too bad.
