I picked up this Lenton Clubman earlier in the year, a bit sorry for itself but still saveable I think.
From the frame No. it appears to be '48 or '49. Though, the hub is dated '56.

It is unusual (to me at least) as it has a 3 speed Sturmey Archer combined with a 3 speed Simplex derailleur giving theoretical 9 speeds.
A dyno front hub with a miller front light, I didn't see a name on the other front light, a Brittanialloy pump
and a Brooks B15 saddle.
If I can get the decals I may repaint / restore it.

Very interesting machine with the hub gear /derailleur gear system ,I have just acquired a 52 Lenton ,interesting to compare the 2 bikes ,it is difficult to see how you can rescue the frame without a respray but cleaned up with new transfers and no respray is worth looking into ,that is some pile of wires you have going on there seems to be wires everywhere ,nice bike though .

No, I think if I do it it'll have to be shiny bright.
I can get all the metal re chromed at 'mates rates', just need to look for the right decals.

I think with some tidier routing or removal of some of the cables along with gentle polishing and alloy rims it will look a lot better on the eye
