Can anyone shed some light on this all the components appear to suggest Europa 12 but single gear lever appears original and no frt mech marks in paint rear cassette is 6speed and also chrome forks appear original thanks

I found this Europa on Ebay, supposedly from the 70's, other photos do not show chromed forks either, but I stand to be corrected.
It may be that your one has been modified over time as the chainring has a newer square taper crank instead of a cottered one.

I would suggest that might have been converted to single speed and then converted back omitting the second chainring. You won’t see any marks from the front derailleur as it looks to have been resprayed.

I doubt those forks are original as the Europa was a budget model.
You can see whoever did the original conversion hacked off the pump pegs too.
