I have a bike to move on but I'd like to know the date of it before hand
Found a stamp on the seat tube but I'm guessing there's one on the bb too?

easiest to check the date stamp on the rear sturmey archer hub, presuming its original that is

Is that a four/five speed hub fitted, or just one of the nuts, with the indicator hole, on the lefthandside?

Looking at the frame number (in pic), it could read 60984 O. However, I've just looked at my Raleigh frame number list, & it only gives pre-fix letter A-X. I think you number is more likely to be U 60984. This indicates a build year of 1934. Looking at your other image of bike, I think this is right. Is the 3-speed Sturmey box dated?.

Hi. To a certain extent you are correct, the very early Sturmey Archer gears were undated (unstamped). Date stamping was 1st introduced in c1909 with the V type hub. The enclosed images show the two different styles of stamping. The 1st example is 1925, while the 2nd is 1936.
