Raleigh banana project

Hi, I've just picked up a raleigh banana 18-23 and I'm intending to make a bit of a special with the parts I've taken off my other road bike which I upgraded. Basically I'm fitting new tiagra group set parts to the banana which away currently being powder coated. The first problem I've come across is that the tubing measures 26mm but I can't find a tiagra front mech with a clamp smaller than 28.6mm. The one I've got is way too big. I can't find any info anywhere? Any ideas anyone? Any help would be great

There are shims available that go under the clamp, but I've never had a problem fitting a front mech on to a Raleigh, having said that I've always used 105 or Sora on road steelies, are you sure on tube size. One thing I always do is take the old rusty mech into the shop and tell them I want something to replace it, there's lots of NOS parts you won't find On-Line.

Thanks for that, I'm pretty sure I've got the size right but yes I think when the frame comes back I might take it in just to make sure.
