My riding is purely weekend club rides plus get out when I can in between. If it is lashing down I am likely not to go out but there are times when you just get caught.

I had a decathlon rain jacket which was very good at keeping rain out but as good again at keeping the sweat in. This time I am looking for something that will offer weather protection not be too cumbersome but will keep rain/wind out and keep me warm in lower temps.

I have base layers and tops but want a jersey or coat/jacket

Budget up to £ 100

Prefer red to match to match the bike

Liked so far

Altura Range of night vision Jackets as one come in red

Pearl Izumi Elite Barrier convertible (agree this is not red).

As a jersey I like the Altura convertible but will a jersey be any good at all on keeping rain out.

Has anyone got any recommendations are the jerseys any good if teamed up with a gilet? or should I forget them in a downpour?

Or as I really way out there should I buy the Jersey and keep one of those £ 34.99 Montane Jackets in the back pocket?

Please help I really really don't know which way to go as you can probably tell.

Thanks

I have a night vision but I only wear it for commuting during the cold winter months, for club rides it gets too hot and even with the sides open, it gets too sweaty. For club rides regardless of the temperature and commuting, I wear a Montane, but they are only any good for light showers and water soon penetrates, but on club rides it does not matter as the pace keeps me warm and the jacket dries quick.

Thanks Zack must admit I was leaning towards a (just in case) Montane teamed with a decent windstopper for the colder temps.
