Raceface products! Any good?

Good afternoon

I am hoping to build up a bike just to go tearing around the local park (Richmond Park) and maybe some commuting to work in the future - assuming I can find a bloody job!

Like most people today money is a little tight. A few retailers are selling Raceface products with a fair saving too. On some as much as 50% off the RRP and more. I have never used Raceface before but I have certainly heard of the name. I am hoping to buy a headset, handlebars, stem and seatpost. The Raceface Deus range look pretty good.

Anyone ever used Raceface stuff? How do they compare to the likes of the more popular and sought after Thomson, Hope etc? They never seem to have huge discounts on them but Raceface does. Is there a good reason for that?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm told abattoirs are good for bloody jobs

Race Face is seriously good stuff but the company went bust earlier this year before reopening with many of the original team in association with Easton-Bell. Up there with Hope and Thompson and comes from the Vancouver North Shore heritage. I have a lot of RF stuff on my bikes and its very good.

Edit: P.S. It should be a really good deal. I suspect the new Race Face bought all the stock of the old Race Face of the liquidators for pence in the pound so even at 50% off they will be making good money on shifting it. Its what I would do in their shoes to free up cash and relaunch the brand after the bankruptcy.
