I am thinking about upgrading my Brotwagen or commuter/shopping bike.
It is an old German city/trekking bike, build on Tange 1000 frameset with some lower class mix of Shimano and Suntour components. Despite this, it has proven fairly low service utility bike.
Strong points are the frameset with all the mounts and a perfect (for me) size, well built wheels on Maillard hubs (super smoothly spinning) and Alesa rims, surprisingly comfy seat. It came with decent mudguards and racks.
I am not entirely happy with the drivetrain and brakes, and need to sort out the lighting.
I am toying with the Idea of IGH in the back, and dynamo hub in the front, maybe with drum brakes as well.
I hope these dropouts should be enough to stick an IGH without a tensioner.
The bottle dynamo is dead so SA dyno/drum hub seems like an interesting option.
