R.I.P. Roy Pink

Ive just heard he passed away last week, age 82.

A minor celeb in the UK cycling community. As well as his shop in Newport Pagnell he used to do weird cycle based things for charity, such as riding a bicycle powered boat long the River Ouse to the sea or charity.

I went to school for couple of years with one of his sons so was fortunate to know Roy slightly, and can affirm he was a genuinely nice guy and well thought of.

I bought a Holdsworth MTB from him in the mid 80's such a great genuine guy, his alloted road test route was 3 laps of the pub car park opposite the shop .
