Unless you've been living in a cave, who can fail to be aware of Duane Eddy and his twangy guitar? I was unexpectedly saddened to hear of his passing.

I have to confess that he was one of those artists that I thought had already died. Came from Arizona, I hear this morning, can't imagine there are too many famous Arizonans (assuming that's the word for them)

@Electric_Andy and @wafter for two!

to be fair apart from the Art of noise re-release in mid 80's there hasnt been a lot of Duane Eddy for several decades, although Peter Gunn has been used /copied/ sampled a lot.

I thought he was the keyboard player from ELO. He has just died as well.

I seem to remember there was an art of noise track with Dwayne Eddy featuring on it. Possibly the theme from that US cop show from the 50s or 60s which was remade with that Ghostbuster actor as a comedy. I really should google stuff like this I guess so I know better what I'm writing about.
