Looking at a new commuter and I'm being drawn towards a Giant Rapid 3 as a flat bar road bike with ability for guards and rack.
However I wondered if there existed a quick release rack for weekend blasts without spending 30 mins stripping the bike?
My knowledge of racks is limited not having one on my current commuter so any insight is welcome!

As the others say, it's really quick to remove a proper 4 bolt rack - About the time it takes to unscrew 4 bolts!

I leave the rack off my bike most the time, but when I come to fit it it takes about 2 or 3 minutes.

The Topeak seat post racks take seconds to fit. Their weight limit is not up to that you get with a full rack, but the convenience of the clamp to attach to the bike and the clip-on rack bags counts for much in my book.

Rucksacks are ok in the winter months. Help to keep you warm. Spring and summer has to be a rack with panniers

I have a Caradice camper and their SQR block, push the button and off comes the bag and rack.
