Hi,

The boss has asked (told) me to get her bike fixed. Well it's all done, new brake blocks, cables, oiled, greased and generally fettered. I really must do the same to my bike one day

Until I go to fit the new chain. It's got these quick release whatsits. The question. Curve in or out?

I'll refrain from the negative comments about changing technology for the sake of it. And since when did technology become just 'tech'. Where's the old codgers thread?

Looks like it's not a snaploc - so instead of bending you need to slide the modes of the link towards each other to undo and away from each other to lock. Special chain pliers make this a doddle.

Thanks Power.

I just clicked the thumbnail. The camera used took such a good picture that I can now see the words inwards on the links. Pitty my eye's couldn't read that.

Your eyes are obviously better than mine! Though I must admit I am waiting for a replacement pair after my friend collided with me in August while we were cycling 100 miles.... (They were only a month old and I had just finished playing foe them....hence the delay in getting replacements)
