Hi all,

I'm going to have a go on the Specialized Secteur Sport tomorrow  and intend to use the bike for group rides, fitness and perhaps some sportive riding but I would also like to do some light weight touring (hostel to hostel). I wonder if any of you have used the bike for this kind of riding and what your advice would be. I see from the blurb that the bike has the braze ons for a rack and implies the ergonomics of the bike is designed for distance riding so imagine it would be fine, if so do you have any good feedback on type of rack and pannier?

Thank you

They do indeed have eyes for mounting a rack (Except the Comp model with its carbon rear stays)

I have a topeak on with a matching slide on bag, I havent used it much but it does seem good. The bits that hold the rack to the upper stays needed a bit of bending to get them around the brake cable (See secondand third pic)

I got the crud guards on with the standard 25mm tyres, but the clearences were very tight and there was a bit of rubbing witch went away with a bit of speed, however, it the tyre picked up some gravel yu could hear it make its war around inside. I changed to 23mm and there isnt any notable change in comfort.

Which one have you gone for? Sport or elite, 2010 or 2011?
