it will be damn cold. The Jubilee line will only get you as far as Waterloo this weekend, but, if you have kids, you get Dad Points for getting them in to the front seats on the DLR - particularly on the return trip

The river service is brilliant. Modern new boats (that have a bar)
I work in Greenwich and sometimes get the boat up to Charing Cross/Embankment.. a very nice civilised way to travel.. not expensive either
