I'm looking into these wheels and I'm stuck on the QR adaptor type to get.

Which adaptor type do you think I should get? It's for a GT Aggressor and I'll only be doing cross country on it:

Front wheel:

9mm adaptor

15mm adaptor

20mm

Rear wheel:

10mm thru axle adaptor

12mm thru axle adaptor

-----------------

Any answers would be appreciated.

Thanks.

As long as you have the standard wheels on it, you need to tick QR adapter for both wheels. I take it at the moment the wheels you have have standard quick release?

It's a frame, lol. But yes, I realised after posting that I needed to do that. Thanks for the reply.

it depends on the frame and fork dropouts - you should know what they are.

the rear is very likely to be 10 mm Q/R, the larger diameter are for bolt through axles which haveappeared quite recently mostly on downhill type frames.

9 mm Q/R front is popular but a lot of forks now are 15 mm Q/R - fox and rockshox, again these are on the longer travel forks aimed at the dh bikes

as you may have gathered the larger axles give a more rigid fitting.

Thanks. I'm looking at a Reba fork to buy if it hasn't sold yet. I'll ask the seller what axle it has when buying.

sorry i'm lost could you point me on my way?!
so do you want Q/R or would you rather like old style nuts? is the Q/R the wrong size or type for your frame?
Cheers Ed
