You could probably maintain the peak form for longer if you weren't 'time crunched' but that's not really what the book is about. If you are time-crunched (can I just say I hate that expression), then the book provides you with periodisation training to enable you to hit form for certain target events. If you want to put the hours in, in order to maintain that kind of form over the longer term, then you clearly aren't time crunched and are therefore reading the wrong training manual.
