quandary

I have been riding a riser bar for a couple of years and i find it difficult to climb steep quickly without the bar ends.
bought bar ends now they are way way too wide to to hold nicely.

do i cut down my carbon risers and install the bar ends?

can bontrager bars be cut?

Go back to flat bars; that's what I did. IMO, For XC, flat bars and bar ends work best.

If it's just aluminium bars then just cut them down.

well you cannot cut down flat carbon bars but can use bar ends.
you can cut riser bars but should not install bar ends.
according to bontrager in reference to their carbon bars
