QR wheels how to tell how tight

This may sound a bit daft but how do you know that your quick release fitting on your wheels are tight enough. Have just took off front wheel to fit mudguard and have put it back on but not sure if tight enough or too tight.

Don't worry , the forks should retain the wheel even if you forgot to shut the QR , hard to say how tight over a forum.

Although when I do mine, I make them a bit tighter than the guy in this video.

When you push the lever over to lock the qr it should leave an imprint in your palm. Don't overtighten as this does hub bearings no good at all

You have

Girl tight
Woman tight
Man tight and .....
Gorilla tight

Have it somewhere between 'woman tight and man tight' and you'll be fine
