QR skewer bent: Not a happy bunny

I received a rear wheel in the post today. Upon opening it, I discovered that the QR skewer was bent. I have emailed the company but really wanted to go out on my bike today.

I am so annoyed.

presumably that's not the only QR you have - can you not swap it for the skewer from another wheel..?

My old wheel is a fixed hub. I have a skewer in my front wheel (which I am using) and a spare one which I got with my turbo trainer (I suspect that is bent as well). I only have one spare which might be bent itself.
I am going to have a look now.

I'd straighten it for now ! It's steel so will bend back !

Borrow one from an abandoned bike?

I have a spare one and it fits! It isnt bent like I suspected.

Although I have just tested the cassette on it and I do need a spacer.

Even if I did do that, I doubt I could get it exactly straight.

I know, thank you. This skewer has just annoyed me though.

Not only have I needed to spend money on my bike (which is something I dont like doing anyway (spending money)) but when I buy the wrong/things which are broken, I really get annoyed because it feels like I have just wasted money.

Its not that I dont like spending money, just that I dont have money to spend.

I am doing a degree in September though and getting a student loan and grant, so I will probably be purchasing a commuter to get there.
