managed to put my bike over today at 13 mph (gotta love gps logging) while having a drink on a deserted cycle path - yesterdays average for the commute was 20.5mph

I think a gust of wind pushed me onto the super slippery wet wood the council think is amazing to border tarmac with and a dodgy one handed over correction led to me sliding along without the bike on my chest, bit of road rash but not much due to speed and a lot of pain in my neck/collarbone on the LH side (woo for paracetemol). I also discovered at work that there are some scratches on my helmet which was then followed by a lot of headache - no recollection of hitting it :s

So for a bit of post mortem, I think I went over because I was pootling and not paying attention, whereas if I was working hard I wouldn't have been right at the edge of the path. Thoughts? (ps no streetview is available as its quite far from the roads)

after all day I'm pretty sure its a mild concussion bit of road rash and pulled neck/groin muscles

I suspect the groin strain is spd related but I don't think its a terrible sin

A cautionary tale.
Hope your ok.
The pros and cons of deserted cycle paths ; nobody about to witness your embarrassment but nobody about to help if you were seriously hurt. Fortunately you seem to be in the first category.
