To be honest if you're planning on doing more than the occasional top-up of your bike tyres, you're better off investing in a decent track pump, which will have an accurate gauge and will give your arms and shoulders a workout too! These come with the nozzles for both types of valve. Less hassle with connecting them up to the battery too.

I have a Topeak Joeblow, which is good. There are plenty of others and a few to avoid as well;

Yes you can. It is a little brass thing and think mine cost less than £ 1.00 from my local bike shop
