I've got my instruction booklet and my race (oops, ride) number but no sign of the start time on the number sheet or any of the emails they've sent me. Anybody got theirs?

It's a bit more complicated than that...
Yes - there was an email at the end of June. Give them a ring.

Here's the header:

And you need that email, it is very important because if you dont reply by 28 july you will not be entered on the day.

I don't think you have to reply to the email; I've already had my instruction booklet and rider number. I rang them yesterday and got the email later - pleased to see that I'm starting at 07:10, which should put me ahead of the hill walkers.

They are specific about the fact you have to have submitted your arrival and departure plan by 28th July to complete your entry. Without that you haven't. Although they might not mean it, it's not mentioned in the magazine. I'd call just in case. Or log in to your account.

Hmmmm... I've got my magazine, rider number, starting instructions, colour, wave, opening, closing and start times so it looks as if I'm ready to go. If entry STILL requires me to submit more information online they've got a problem with the way this thing is set up because I bet most riders will miss it.

So I've just checked and buried in an email I received on 11 June I've found an invitation to log in and tell them about my transport arrangements, which looks like a thinly-disguised attempt to get me to sign up for the TNT bike transport scheme. TNT wrecked a bike I sold on Ebay so there's no way I would entrust them with my precious bike. It's booked with us on the train very early on Saturday and back on Monday.

It's definitely an attempt to sell you transport, I've booked on to the riverboat going back East, but you can just tell them 'thanks I'm sorted' for no money. I think it just makes them comfortable that people have considered transport options when there are that many moving around.
