Protection Tape (where to stick it?)

So i just bought some heli tape for my new bike and am wondering where to stick it. Obviously i'll be putting some on the underside of the frame and I'll probably stick some on the top tube (I use a cruiser bag) but I also hear cyclists tape their forks too? What part of the fork should I be protecting, or other parts of the bike for that matter?

I have a saddlebag with a velcro strap round the seat post. I put some there to stop rubbing

I have protection tape on the head tube where my brake cables rub and along the drive-side chain stay.

Put it wherever something is going to rub against the frame (brake cables for example) or you are going to attach something to the frame (e.g. rear lights, frame bag)
