Nah. Mobility scooters are the answer, there seems to be a lot of them around now too. Snowplough on the front to clear the pavements on the way to the shops, perhaps a bucket of grit on the back too. Two birds with one stone for those that have one.
Pavements never seem to be cleared and are slippery long after roads are clear, there must be a increase in the load on fracture clinics after a few days of icy pavements.
