Looking at purchasing shorts from them as they have decent pricing however worried about fit and returning as there is no free returns unlike my usual haunts. So what is the fitting like, usually large in most shorts DHB and endura for example but suspect the italian fit would mean an XL . Anyone got experience of using them?

Not those particular ones. But from my experience they all vary from make to make.
I am a medium in almost all clothes, but on occasion I have even bought XL in cycling bottom half attire.
A lot of people on here have loads of experience of quality cycling gear, so best wait for an expert to advise.
One of the perils of internet shopping I'm afraid.

I bought a pair of the PBK Elite longs and I think for the price they're currently at, they're a bit of a bargain. So much so I picked up a pair of shorts too. Fit-wise, you're right in that they're on the smaller side. They come up smaller than my Gore power bibs in the same size (large FWIW) but they're comfy on me whereas the PBK's are what you would call a race-fit, ie: tight but not restricting.

You might need to factor in the cost of a return into the overall price to give a fair comparison with the free returns sites. For me free returns take the worry of buying clothing online and I have used it previously. I once had to return a LS jersey to PBK and as it was worth over £45, then I think it cost me around £6.

I don't buy from PBK anymore, but that's another story...

dont have my size anyway now but might take a punt in future but yes I prefer the free returns, takes the worry out of clothing sizing.
